Overview
In recent years, in the forming of metal parts, a wide variety of processing technologies and methods have been adopted, including machining, precision casting (lost-wax), die casting, and press sintering, depending on the required functions or from the point of view of cost. The MIM (Metal Injection Molding) process "Metamold" has been developed by SMM as the new fifth-generation processing technology on the basis of these processing technologies. This has enabled the production of parts with forms as complex as plastic parts or die-cast parts, while maintaining resource and energy saving characteristics, based on many years of experience in metallurgical technology.
