Sodium Hydrogensulfite
Overview
Sodium hydrogensulfite is manufactured by blowing SO2 from non-ferrous metal smelting exhaust gas into a caustic soda solution to cause a reaction between them and filtrating them.

NaHSO3 (approximately 35%), acidic, aqueous solution

- Leather (tannin resolvent)
- Reducing agent for wastewater treatment
