We here at Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. express our heartfelt sympathy to those who have suffered losses from the earthquakes which took place off Chile on February 27. We wish the earliest possible restoration of the devastated areas.

In order to provide aid to disaster victims, Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. will be contributing relief funds to ONEMI (Oficina Ncional de Emergencia, Ministerio del Interior).
