Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (SMM) offers its deepest sympathies and condolences to the many victims of the earthquake and tsunami that struck the Tohoku region on March 11.

As an expression of the company's strong desire to be of assistance at this critical time, SMM has decided to donate aid in the amount of 300 million yen to support relief and recovery efforts in the affected areas.

We will also do everything within our means and capabilities to help achieve recovery in the affected regions as quickly as possible.
