Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (SMM) expresses our heartfelt sympathy to those who have suffered losses from the earthquake on 10th February, 2017 that occurred in Surigao del Norte, the Philippines, where a SMM's subsidiary Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation is located.

SMM has provided a donation of two million yen to the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo to support recovery of the affected areas.
We wish the earliest possible restoration of the devastated areas.
