Scandium Oxide
Overview
Scandium is one of the minor metals found in Nickel mineral ore, which Sumitomo Metal Mining recovers as an oxide. While it is used as an electronic industry material in fuel cell batteries and aluminum alloys, worldwide production volume is low. Stable supply by SMM allows for all sorts of new applications.
