New NIR Absorbing materials, LaB6 (lanthanum hexaboride) and CWO®︎ (cesium tungsten oxide) with selective and strong near-infrared absorption in the range of 800 to 1200 nm have been developed originally by SMM. These materials diminish near-infrared rays of shorter wavelength which has much of the heat energy in sunlight compared to ITO (tin-doped indium oxide) and ATO (antimony-doped tin oxide).
