Acceptance of Hall of Fame Award for being the Top Export Performer by Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation

Taganito HPAL Nickel Corporation (THPAL), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (SMM), has received the Department of Trade and Industry ("DTI") the Top Exporter Award for Mineral Sector for the year 2017. During the same event, THPAL also received the "Hall of Fame Award for being the Top Export Performer" for the Mineral Sector for the past 3 consecutive years.

The Philippine DTI, through the Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), has awarded 23 Philippine companies including THPAL, were selected this year based on the export results of 2017. The awards ceremony was held at the National Export Congress held at the Philippine International Convention Center on December 7, 2018.

The National Export Congress is operated with the aim to increase the reach of Filipino exporters, aside from urging them to keep on improving and innovating.
