Regarding the Conclusion of a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Battery Materials Business Transfer Contract

Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Akira Nozaki), Sumitomo Osaka Cement Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo., President: Hirotsune Morohashi) have, agreed to transfer the lithium iron phosphate ("LFP") battery materials business (includes new technical research institute, battery materials research group, and subsidiary SOC Vietnam Co.,Ltd) to Sumitomo Metal Mining. The business transfer contract was concluded as of today.
