Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. (TSE: 5713) (the "Company") announces that, today, it has decided to increase the capital of the Company's subsidiary, SMM PERTH PTY LTD. As a result, the amount of capital in SMM PERTH PTY LTD will be equivalent to 10% or more of the Company's capital, and SMM PERTH PTY LTD will be classified as specified subsidiary of the Company.
